John T. Hillman, President. John has been a serious collector of vintage original silent film posters and memorabilia since 1985 and a dealer of vintage original movie memorabilia since 1993. Over the years, John’s private collection has included some of the most important and sought-after silent film posters, many of which were the only known example. His focus had subsequently changed and he and his partner Marcelo Coronado are now the world’s foremost collectors on D.W. Griffith, the director of The Birth of a Nation (1915), Intolerance (1916) and Broken Blossoms (1919). John and Marcelo’s archive on D.W. Griffith includes the best known condition examples of both the “Clansman” and “Lincoln” style original 1915 release one-sheet posters from The Birth of a Nation as well as the only known copy of the “Modern Sequence” one-sheet from Intolerance.
Marcelo Coronado, Vice President. Marcelo is an avid film enthusiast and has been a serious collector of vintage original Superman and Star Trek memorabilia for over 20 years. Marcelo is also the Senior Partner in an English/Spanish interpretation and translation company, Coronado, Chavez & Associates, LLC. His rounded background included being an Office Administrator, property manager and Legal Assistant/interpreter/translator in the probate, conservatorship, guardianship, decedent estates and estate planning fields. He also worked in retail management from international discount stores in San Diego, California to high-end fashion boutiques in Beverly Hills.
