We sell only original advertising materials which were produced for display at movie theatres at the time of the film’s release. We do not sell reproductions of any kind.

John T. Hillman, President. John has been a serious collector of vintage original silent film posters and memorabilia since 1985 and a dealer of vintage original movie memorabilia since 1993. Over the years, John’s private collection has included some of the most important and sought-after silent film posters, many of which were the only known example. John’s focus has subsequently changed and he has become the world’s foremost collector on D.W. Griffith, the director of The Birth of a Nation (1915), Intolerance (1916) and Broken Blossoms (1919). John’s archive of D.W. Griffith material includes the best known condition examples of both the “Klansman” and “Lincoln” style original 1915 release one-sheet posters from The Birth of a Nation as well as the only known copy of the “Modern Sequence” one-sheet from Intolerance.
Marcelo Coronado, Vice President. Marcelo has been a Paralegal in Santa Monica, California since 1999 and became Vice President of SilentCinema.com in January 2007. Marcelo is an avid film enthusiast and has been a serious collector of vintage original Superman and Star Trek memorabilia since 1987.
