Lupe Velez 1940 "MEXICAN SPITFIRE" U.S. 3-Sheet Poster

Item: N/A
SKU: P-MEXSPITFIRE-3S
Price: $1,250.00

Quantity:

Offered here is a vintage original 41 x 81 in. (104.1 x 205.7 cm.) U.S. three-sheet poster from the comedy film MEXICAN SPITFIRE, produced in 1940 by RKO Radio Pictures and starring the charismatic Lupe Velez.

The artwork on this beautiful vintage original three-sheet poster features a large dominant heatshot of an exuberant Lupe Velez wearing a black velvet bow in her hair and a string of pearls. The lower portion of the poster features a second image of Miss Velez with the two male leads, one wearing a traditional sombrero and the other wearing a tuxedo. This poster has been professionally linen-backed by Poster Mountain and was in outstanding condition prior to being backed. There were pinholes in the corners and light wear along the folds. There is a light 2 in. horizontal crease in the white background of the poster below Ms. Velez's name at the top of the poster which occurred after it was linen-backed. The colors are extremely fresh and vibrant and this is a beautiful poster when seen in person. Lupe Velez was the true original Hollywood "Mexican Spitfire" and this vintage RKO three-sheet is a wonderful tribute to this Latin American Hollywood legend.
