Griffith, this Lincoln effort was one of the great talking films of the post-silent film era. These brief vignettes about Lincoln's early life include his birth, early jobs, his affair with Ann Rutledge, his courtship of Mary Todd and the Lincoln/Douglas debates. His presidency and the Civil War are followed in more detail and the film concludes with Lincoln's assassination by John Wilkes Booth on the night of April 14, 1865 at Ford's Theater in Washington, DC. This DVD was viewed only once and is in new condition with no flaws. Special Features include: interactive menus; scene selection; region free; dts 5.1 surround-sound.
