Vintage original release German theatrical poster, 23 x 32.75 in. (58.4 x 83.2 cm.), unrestored, folded, 1.25 in. tear on the outer border in the lower right quadrant, fine condition. The artwork depicts Count Dracula (Christopher Lee) bending over a writhing victim with a large headshot of Dracula dominating the poster. Unlike the U.S. one-sheet which utilizes primarily the same large headshot of Dracula, this German poster features a second image of Dracula bending over a writhing victim with his castle in the background. The use of solid red and green colors, which are traditional representations of terror and horror, compliment the design of this poster.

Hammer fans consider this original release German poster as one of the more desirable posters from Horror of Dracula, which is the greatest of all Hammer horror films. Christopher Lee's first screen appearance as Dracula captivated an entire new audience of horror film fans and brought the genre to new heights of realism and horror.

A copy of the original British quad poster sold at Christie's (London) in September 2008 for approximately $20,000 US. This very desirable original release German poster is offered for a fraction of that price and this particular example is unrestored and in fine condition.
