The image features a close shot of the handsome young toreador, Juan Gallardo (Rudolph Valentino), who is torn between his mistress, the seductive Dona Sol (Nita Naldi, left) and his wife, Carmen (Lila Lee). This still photograph was printed most likely in the 1940's or possibly earlier and is in very fine condition with two very small areas of an ink smudge in the left portion of the lower outer white border. "Blood and Sand" is considered one of Valentino's most popular films and Nita Naldi's performance as a sophisticated Spanish seductress is terrific.
