Vintage original 5 x 7 in. (12.7 x 17.8 cm.) U.S. "fan photo" of silent film actress Billie Dove with a facsimile of her signature, c.1920s, very fine condition with virtually no flaws. "Fan Photos" were issued by the studios upon request of the "fans," usually for the price of a quarter. Nicknamed "The American Beauty," Billie Dove appeared in such classic silent films as "The Black Pirate" (with Douglas Fairbanks), "The Light of Western Stars" and "The Marriage Clause."
