U.S. lobby card, near mint condition. The image features a close shot of Marcus Superbus (Fredric March) standing in a chariot as he tightly grips the reins of his horse. The detail in March's costume can clearly be seen and appreciated in this shot which is complimented by the beautiful color tints. Director Cecil B. DeMille's name precedes the film's title which is rendered in a dramatic 3-D effect. This vintage original lobby card is in near mint condition with one pinhole in the center of the left outer white border. There are no other flaws of any kind. This film is celebrated for many reasons and Charles Laughton gives an unforgettable over-the-top performance as the Emperor Nero. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for "Best Cinematography" (by Karl Struss).
