LUCKY DEVIL, THE (1925)
SKU: B-LUCKYDVL-HLD
Paramount Pictures; 1925; dir: Frank Tuttle; cast: Richard Dix, Esther Ralston, Edna May Oliver. Vintage original 3.5 x 10 in. (8.9 x 25.4 cm.) U.S. herald, unfolded, double-sided, very fine condition. Popular silent film star Richard Dix stars in this comedy drama as a department store employee who wins a racing car in a raffle and sets out for the West with numerous adventures and mishaps along the way. The front of the herald features six images of Richard Dix in various costumes and with other characters from the film which include a motorcycle policeman giving him a speeding ticket. On the verso is large drawing of a speeding vintage red racing car with Dix's name above it and the film's title below it (this takes up the entire right half). The left side has machine printed details which indicate that the film was shown at the California Theatre for four days starting on Wednesday, September 2. This vintage original herald is unfolded and in very fine condition with virtually no flaws, as there is only the slightest bit of wear on the upper edge (when viewed from the front).
