STRIPER buckle
This heirloom-quality steel and copper striper buckle has a timeless, rustic appeal. It is made completely by hand using a combination of centuries-old techniques, including repoussé and chasing. The time-intensive process results in a durable, functional piece of “wearable art” that is essentially a relief sculpture. Measures 3.125" wide x 2.375" tall and is made for a 1.5" belt. Each buckle is signed and numbered by the blacksmith. Ships directly from the artist.

Wes Groot is a Chicago-based artist-blacksmith who creates durable, wearable sculpture. There are no molds, automation or shortcuts used in his process. Every part on every buckle is formed and worked by hand using hammers, heat, traditional tools and techniques. With tongue firmly in cheek, Groot likes to claim: “We Keep Your Pants On.”
