To find one of these books with the paper spine intact is quite uncommon and one has to search a long to time find one. They usually are rebacked. Here is a copy that has not been rebacked with a reinforced spine.
This is a nice book, I have this for years, and was please to find an intact one.
It is a second printing of only 10,000 copies printied in October 1899. (The first printing was on Sept. 25 of 5700 copies.)
Mininimal wear to binding and interior pages are quite nice. Illustrationw are by William Wallace Denslow, who c0-collaborated with L. Frank Baum on The WOnderful Wizard of Oz.
