Buddy Ebsen is perhaps best-known in modern times for his role as Jed Clampett in the hit TV series The Beverly Hillbillies. Also as roles as Davy Crockett's sidekick George Russel, and as Barnaby Jones, the famous  detective.

Here we have a laminated plaque of the cover of SHOWTIME THE COLORFUL WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT, that hung in Buddy Ebsen's personal study for many years. It shows him as the detective Barnaby Jones, one really GREAT series, which ran for many seasons. At the bottom of the laminated plaque it reads: 'Why is "Barnaby Jones" going into a seventh season on CBS? All the statistics boil down to one explanation from viewers of all ages: "I Like it." Buddy Ebsen plays Barnaby, daughter-in-law (Betty) is Lee Meriweather and nephew J. D. is Mark Shera.'

The size of this rather large (and a bit heavy) piece is: 14 inches by nearly 18 inches and is 1/2 thick on nice laminated board trimmed in gold on the edges of cover and edges of the wood,  and ready to hang. A GREAT Barnaby Jones item, from Barnaby Jones himself. Artwork is by R. Thompson.
