A facsimile dust jacket for the the first edition (printed in 1921) book of "Tarzan The Terrible" by Edgar Rice Burroughs. This jacket has been color matched to the original rare first edition jacket.
Published by A. C. McClurg & Co., this jacket is for the first edition book. Very nice St. John illustration and one of our favs!
The jacket is pre-trimmed, folded and enclosed in Mylar, ready to put on your book. The inks and paper used are archival, and there is a LABEL AFFIXED to the verso of the jacket stating that it is a facsimile dust jacket as well as a printed statement along the jacket flap stating that it is a facsimile dust jacket. There is a tastefully rendered artist's monogram in the lower portion of the rear of the jacket flap which further attests that the jacket is a facsimile and collectible paper art object. Beautiful. One of the very best jacket designs ever done for Tarzan book by J. Allen St. John.
