Rare First Canadian Edition with acorn on spine

This is a very good copy, as shown, of the rare 1st Canadian edition of this book.

This book has the title page as an INTEGRAL part of the pagination, not tipped in as always, or usually? found, therefore some kind of variant.

The book was published by McClelland, Goodchild & Steward in 1914 (see the photo of the title page) and has the acorn stamping on the spine, as shown in the photo. A little bit of oxidation to gold imprint on spine, as is usual for "Tarzan" first editions. A bit of shelf slant to the book, hinges are not cracked. An uncommon edition of this classic book. This is the only edition of this book I have ever encountered. The book comes with a FACSIMILE McMcClurg dust jacket.
