Native American Sterling Silver Belt

Native American Sterling Silver BeltA beautiful heavy silver and turquoise on leather Native American made belt obtained in New Mexico summer of 2006. I believe it is Navajo, but not sure.It has markings inside the buckle which state "F Kirk Smith" and states "STERLING." The silver pieces are slidable on the leatther belt. There are eleven pieces, alternating between larger and small. Turquoise stones are set within the sterling piece links. The silver pieces with the turquoise stones are backed by leather which slides on the main belt. The belt measures 47 inches. The size of the largest sterling silver piece is 3-1/4 x 2-3/4 inches. The size of the smallest silver piece measures 1-3/4 by 2-1/4 inches. Our scale weighs this piece at 1.4 pounds.
