The artist John Anthony Miller is known around the world in estoteric circles for his highly detailed miniature etchings and engravings, many of which are no longer in production, but we now pleased to be able to offer you enlarged versions of many of them as quality, signed Giclée prints directly from the artist who is still living. He was known in the 1980's as the foremost miniature etching artist with his work in many renowned doll houses in every state of the union and in Europe.
This is an enlargement of a miniature engraving done in 1980 and reproduced in 2007 as a Giclee print. The image size is 3" by 4-1/2" and the paper size is 8.5" x 11". Originally this particular work of art was renderd on copperplate and measured 1" by 1-1/2" in size and was marketed by the artist.It represents a fantasy figure made up in the artist's mind. The original engraving plate was lost, and only this one print seems to have survived. This is the first time in years anyone has even seen this image. The name "Frugwop" was used at the time of the printing, and is just a conceived name out of the artist's mind. It was titled as such on the one print made.This image is made from that one rare print.
The print is limited to only 200 prints, this one shown is 1/200 but the purchaser will be getting the next available number after print number one. This print is hand-titled and signed in pencil by the artist under the image and comes with a Certificate of Assurance to protect your investment.
