Hookah Caterpillar Giclée print- from Alice in Wonderland

A high quality print from Chapter 5 of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" the caption reading:

This print was scanned at high resolution from a print taken from the ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK ENGRAVING that was used in the first printing of this classic book. The wood block was done by Tenniel and created in the 19th century. Metal castings were then taken off the casts from the woodblock and then prints were made for the books, thus ensuring the original wood block would not wear down and the detail would be there. THIS print is from a print taken from the ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK PRINT, with all that detail. It was then scanned at high resolution and then printed on a Giclee printer using acid-free inks and paper. Giclee printing is an INK JET technology to let you know. There are lots of definitions on the internet about Giclee prints, but they now found their niche in the fine art market.

Just look at the detail of the eyelashes, the hairstrands in the enlargement of Alice peering over the mushroom, detail that is not found in illustrations in the later editions of Alice in Wonderland. ...

The image on of the print measures 5-1/2" by 7-1/2" (the original block image is 2-1/2" by 3-1/2"). The detail is there... Printed on quality stock heavy weight paper, this print comes with a Certificate of Assurance from Phantom Bookshop in California. The original wood block print from the first UK edition of Alice done by Tenniel was scanned using high resolution and then printed using a large format Giclee printer at high resolution. Only the finest inks and paper were used for this. The detail on the print is better than the first edition book prints done in the last century. Those prints were done by copies of the wooden plates done on metal. Some detail of course would have been lost.
