Roots
Alex Haley
This is the first printing published in 1976 by Doubleday, and noted as "First Edition," of this classic work by Alex Haley and the basis for the epic mini-series on television shown years ago. A masterpiece that made its own trend in the way Black America and the rest of the country thinks about it ancestors.
The book itself is in near fine condition with the name of "Clarence Williams" written on the front free endpaper. (This very well could be the actor Clarence Williams). The dust jacket is very good and is not price-clipped. The book and dust jacekt will come to you enclosed in a crystal clear Mylar jacket protector, but the photo shown here does not have the protector on. Just one great book!
