Streamcraft An Angling Manual
by Dr. George Parker Holden
1919 fishing book with 8 color plates showing flys and other profuse illustrations in this small little book. Published in Cincinnati in 1919 by Stewart & Kidd Company, this little gem is quite rare to find in dust jacket. Book is about fine condition in dark green linen cloth stamped in bright gold on the front board and spine. The dust jacket is very good with a little corner and edgewear and lacking a thumbnail-sized chip from the top of the spine. If you collect fishing books, this one is a must.
This book deals with the selection, care, rigging of the rod: the art of casting, trout habits, lures and their use, including some stream entomology: the angler flies and how to tie them, including a description of the most successful trough and bass flies. Handsomely illustrated. 264 pages. Small volume.
