by Ernest Hemingway Facsimile dust jacket for the first edition of "The Old Man and The Sea". Trimmed, enclosed in a Mylar sleeve and pre-folded to put on your book. Please Note: As with all my facsimile jackets, they are done to be handsome objects of art and each one of them has a label affixed to the verso of the jacket, signed and dated by myself stating that the jacket is a facsimile. It will also have my "JAM" monogram tastefully done on the rear flap. This helps to add to the collectability of the facsimile dust jacket. Some dealers say that a facsimile jacket adds no more value to the book. I disagree with them on that point. These jackets are made after a tedious digital restoration and checking the colors as close as possible to the original dust jacket. Only the finest pigment inks are used and acid-free paper. They will never be mass produced.
