75th Birthday Tribute for Ray Bradbury
It seems like yesterday, but almost eleven years have gone by since that night. A birthday celebration in honor of the Maestro of The Metaphor, Ray Bradbury. It was limited to a couple hundred people or so, and many luminaries were in attendance. An interesting night to remember.
This item is a Ray Bradbury 75th Birthday Program booklet, stapled. I took some photos of the covers and inside pages to give you an idea. It it 8-1/2 by 11 inches in dimensions. Various birthday wishes, etc and a Norman Corwin tribute (I enlarged this so you can read it) are inside. Most of these ended up in trash cans, which just added to the rarity of the piece. I obtained a small number at the celebration ten years ago, but over the years most have been sold. I am down a few booklets now.
I personally presented this item to Ray Bradbury for his signature on the front cover and you will be getting a COA with this great item.
His 86th birthday was on August 22, 2006. His classics such as "Fahrenheit 451," "The Martian Chronicles," Dandeline Wine," "Something Wicked This Way Comes," "The Golden "Apples of The Sun," "The October Country" and many other classics assure his place in literary history.
The photo shown here was from a booklet previously sold, so the signature will be a bit different from the one offered here.
