Native to select parts of Ecuador & Columbia, this aroid is said to be threatened by rapid habitat loss. Held atop thin yet sturdy petioles, the striking undulated foliage is deep green on the surface with a striking burgundy underside. Primarily favored for its foliage, A. esmeraldense does produce a striking floral display consisting of a bright white spadix surrounded by a contrasting burgundy spathe. Zones 10-11
