There is a lot of misinformation going around about Alocasia macrorhiza 'Borneo Giant' and Alocasia Robusta.
They are two different plants. Robusta is much larger, almost double the size of Borneo Giant. The two plants, when side by side, are very easy to tell apart. Borneo giant, when small looks just like a common macrorhiza...until it gets big, then watch out! Robusta naturally has a waxy bluish powder on the bottoms of the leaf, the leaves are flatter, and broader. Robusta will also bleed orange when the stalk is cut. Borneo Giant is clear and turns white. Also, for us, A. borneo giant has proven to be a spectacularly fast grower.
Root hardy to zone 8
