Moosup Valley Designs is owned by Rachel Badeau of Foster, Rhode Island. Her love of animals, nature, and her rural surroundings is reflected in her work. The detail in Rachel’s work captures the deep feelings she has for animals and nature, and the whimsy in her pieces reflects her humor and wit.

Rachel’s work has progressed from scrimshaw jewelry 30 years ago to her 25 years of creating original hand colored, embossed etchings. Her current interests involve creating original hand carvings and engravings in fossilized ivory, mother of pearl, antler and other beautiful natural materials. .

Each piece of Rachel’s work exemplifies the fine line and attention to detail that is so characteristic of her art form.
