This is a most unusual entry in the John Wayne film legacy because it is not an action film but rather a romance. Duke plays U.S. Marine Rusty Thomas, who falls for Claudette Colbert on a train ride to Hollywood. This one is great fun. Duke does a wonderful job in what was a most unusual role for him.
