This halter is made with 20 continuous feet of 5/16" double braided Polypropylene over Nylon rope that is specifically designed for tying halters. It is made to be stiff and have minimal stretch - NOT your mamby-pamby climbing rope that stretches that others use to make CHEAP halters. It is rot and mildew resistant, and has a test break strength of 1400 lbs. It is hand made with a genuine Fiador knot on the chin, and double overhand, or "blood knots" on the joints to elimintate twisting.
There is 18 continuous feet of paracord of each trim color, and 9 beads come standard on the halter. The secret "weapon" to this halter is that where the braid stops and starts again over the noseband, are ridges that act on the sensitive pressure points on the horse's nose. These ridges are not as pronounced or severe as a 4-knot style or our own Knotty Halter knots, but the horse will feel the difference over a plain rope halter. The tie strings are finished with the same braid design and trim colors as the body of the halter. Best of all, there is NO HARDWARE to break!
