Store Policies

Shopping at the Hometown Games Outlet Store

 

  1. We make every effort to guarantee that the online catalog is complete, accurate and up-to-date, however it is possible that a listed item may be out of stock.

  2. The Outlet Store currently uses PayPal as its credit card service provider.  You do not have to have a PayPal account to use the service.

  3. If you would prefer not to transmit your credit card information electronically, simply select personal check as your payment method then call (785-830-8011) or fax (888-365-4904) us the number.

  4. We do accept checks and money orders (for the price of the order only).  Personal checks will need to clear before the order is sent.  When paying by mail we will hold keep your items held back for 14 days.

  5. There is a $15 charge for returned checks.

  6. Feel free to mail or fax your order to us as well

  7. Kansas residents will have sales tax added to their order.

  8. We are currently not shipping internationally.  We hope to be able to provide this service soon.

  9. We currently use the USPS as our shipping provider.  Shipping rates vary by location, weight and size of package, and the specific service chosen.  We always will package your order in the most efficient container possible, while still maintaining the safety of the contents.

  10. Card Quality - Our CCG singles are a mixture used and new cards, geared towards play (as opposed to collecting).  The cards will be of good quality or better, and if there are any questions we will contact you and in some cases can offer a scan of the card in question.  Please note that the images we use in the store itself are only representative and not of actual cards in the inventory unless otherwise noted.

  11. Minis Quality - Like our CCG singles, our minis are both used and new.  We weed out the obvious broken minis and other aberrations.  However in some cases the mini design itself was less than optimal (ex:  some minis don't stay well on their flying bases) for which we can't do anything.  Also in some cases the figures have been altered, specifically flyers have been glued to the base.  We will inform you if that is the case.  Again, please note that the images we use in the store itself are only representative and not of actual minis in the inventory unless otherwise noted.

  12. The quality, completeness, and other relevant information about used games will be given in the item description and pictures of the actual product will be provided. Further information will be provided at the customer's request.

  13. Returns - In general any non-singles order can be returned for a full refund as long as we are notified within 48 hours of receipt.  The customer will normally be responsible for shipping.  Exceptions and specifics:

    1. We must be notified within 48 hours of receipt of the item.  Once we have approved the return we must receive the item within 10 days.

    2. If the order is mispacked (wrong items, too many items, etc.), we will pay for shipping. 

    3. Loss or damage in shipping is the responsibility of the customer, unless shipping insurance was obtained.  If this is the case contact us and we will inform you how to proceed.

    4. All items must be in the same condition that they were sent in, new items must be undamaged and still in shrinkwrap if applicable.

    5. Single CCG & Minis orders can be exchanged  for the same card.  If the card is not in stock we will issue a refund.  We must be notified within 24 hours, and we must receive the item within 5 days.  (This does not apply to mispacked orders, see (b) above).

    6. In all cases we strive for 100% customer satisfaction.  Please contact us with any concerns about your order and we will do what we can to complete your order to your satisfaction.

NOTE: Customers in the Lawrence, KS area should not use the web store to order items.  The inventory online is the same as in the store.  Please feel free to use the inventory to see what you want as well send us a want list for us to pull.  But if you place the order on the website you will be liable for the full costs, including shipping.  Nor can we apply your discount.
