Can you explain what Hyaluronic Acid(HA) is?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a carbohydrate, more specifically a mucopolysaccharide occurring naturally throughout the human body. It can be several thousands of sugars (carbohydrates) long. When not bound to other molecules, it binds to water giving it a stiff viscous quality similar to “Jello”. This viscous Gel is one of the most heavily researched substances in medicine today with thousands of clinical trials mostly in the fields of orthopedics and eye surgery. Its function in the body is, amongst other things, to bind water and to provide moisture to the parts of our body that need it the most like the nasal passageways and the skin. Its consistency and tissue-friendliness allows it to be used in skin-care products as an excellent moisturizer. How long has Hyaluronic Acid been used?

How long does it take for Hylamist™ to work?

How is it used?

Tilt your head forward and seal off the nasal passage by closing off one nostril. Close your mouth and give the bottle a quick, firm squeeze, inhaling deeply to pull the mist into the nasal passageways. Do this once or twice for each nostril.

When I use a nasal spray it runs down the back of my throat. Is this OK? Yes. This is normal, because the nasal passages are connected with the throat. The ingredients in Hylamist™ are all natural and not harmful.
