This doll is the arists PROOF in a series of 60 from the GREEN MAN DOLLS series by Louise Chisholm. Based on concepts of Dioinysius, the vegetative god or spirit/ dressed as 16th century English working class man, carrying a bag of beach glass.
Measures aprox 23" tall, made from a variety of fabrics, cloth painted face, and features removeable clothing. All dolls are signed, numbered and dated by the artist. The doll you are bidding on is as pictured.

This series of GREEN MAN DOLLS was created as a companion to the MAENAD DOLL series, view other auctions for more information about the Maenad doll series. Some of each of these series were featured in the autumn 2006 Art Doll Quarterly Magazine, a publication by Somerset.
All are made from the same body pattern, designed by artist Louise Chisholm however they are all unique in their own way.
