This is doll # 38 in the Black & White Maenad Doll series by Louise Chisholm. Maenad dolls with wings to signify our desire to rise above ourselves. Measures aprox 20" tall, made from a variety of fabrics, cloth painted face, and features removeable clothing. All dolls are signed, numbered and dated by the artist. The doll you are bidding on is as pictured. A BIT ABOUT THE ARTIST AND THIS SERIES OF DOLLS A Series of Dolls by Louise Chisholm ~ entitled MAENAD DOLLS. This doll is # 38 is a series of 65 Black & White Maenad Dolls. Louise also created other Maenad dolls in series PEACH MAENAD DOLLS SERIES, and GOLD MAENAD DOLL SERIES. There are 65 in each series. Some of each of these series were featured in the autumn 2006 Art Doll Quarterly Magazine, a publication by Stampington & Co.
