Cupping notes by Royal Coffee NY Inc, the real “PROFESSIONALS”
Kenya AA Nguguini Estate
This coffee is graded "AA", referring to the size of the bean, which is the largest exported from Kenya. Kenyan coffee is one of the most balanced and complex of coffee origins. By balanced it is meant that no characteristic dominates the others as to distort the overall cupping. Nguguini Estate is a coffee of high acidity, medium body, and flavor notes of lemon and grapefruit. It is grown approximately 100km north of Nairobi on the slopes of Mount Kenya at an altitude of about 6,000 feet. This coffee is wet processed, then slowly sun dried on raised tables. We generally perfer to roast Kenya coffees a bit lighter to preserve the famous acidity, but this is a hard bean coffee that will stand up to darker roasts if you prefer. In a French roast, it makes an absolutely superior press pot cup.
