East Timor Maubesse Organic FT
This Fair Trade Certified Organic coffee is produced by Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT) and comes from the Maubesse region of East Timor. (high grown) This coffee is a great success story; during the years of Indonesian occupation and oppression, the specialty coffee industry in Timor fell into a state of significant decline and neglect. A vigilant multilateral effort in concert with the CCT has helped turn East Timor's coffee into a rising star that rivals Java's finest Arabicas. Just in time for Fair Trade month, this new crop delivery starts with a combination of blackberry and peppery flavors followed by a smooth, dark chocolate finish. This coffee is full bodied and deep, with nutty overtones and a hint of spice. It is well suited to a full range of roasts.
