The Summit Trumpet is the ultimate Jazz Combo horn. The extra large 5-1/2" bell was turned on a .470" large bore mandrel making this the largest bell in the Harrelson list of options. The #2 leadpipe is also very large and blows wide open. Combined with the elliptical tuning slide, Summit plays with a beautiful broad tone that spreads much like a tenor sax. This is the ultimate jazz combo horn...sound bigger than a vintage Martin Committee large bore with perfect intonation, flexibility and superior dynamic range.
