The relief comprises the 'Big ‘Five' = with elephant, leopard, rhinoceros= , lion, and Cape buffalo against a background of bushveld trees that also form a canopy for the African wildlife carving. Texture and grain lend themselves to carving with beautiful results. The wood = type may be botanically incorrect as the locals call different species by the = same name. As our local team learn m= ore, they will supply us with information that is more accurate. Although the carved basket is made from indigenous wood, ma= ny we stock are from renewable exotic wood resources so please read our policy on indigenous wood use and poor communities.
